Ski Amade is the largest ski region in Austria and the second largest in Europe. It is located closest to the Polish border and also for this reason it is an extremely popular destination. The region offers a varied ski offer, from the runs on which World Cup competitors race to easy runs that should appeal to families with children. It does not matter if you come here alone, with children or a group of friends, you will not be bored here. Schladming-Dachstein

It is the largest Ski Amade resort in Upper Austria. It is said that it is here that you can meet the greatest ski names in the World Cup, but also Austria’s most impressive ski attractions. Skiers can use 84 modern cableways and lifts here, providing a total of 230 kilometers of perfectly prepared ski slopes of various levels of difficulty. One of the biggest attractions of the region is the Crosspark in the Reiteralm resort, which spectacular route ends with a jump into a picturesque mountain pasture. Another must-see for skiing crazy people is Superpark Planai, which will meet the expectations of both snowboard champions and those who make their first steps on one or two boards. It is definitely worth taking the cable car to Gletscher – the highest peak in the Dachstein region, so that from an altitude of 2700 m above sea level. admire the panorama of the Alps reaching from the south of the Slovenian and from the north to the Czech border. Did you know that the border between Upper Austria and Styria passes through the restaurant hall at the top? The vicinity of Ramsau also offers fantastically prepared routes for cross-country skiers.

Salzburg Sports World

Further afield, the Salzburger Sportwelt with 760 kilometers of pistes reveals the true beauty of the Austrian Alps to tourists. The region includes the towns of Flachau, Wagrain, St. Johann, Radstadt, Altenmarkt-Zauchensee and Filzmoos. It was in Flachau that the skiing legend Hermann Maier created his own ski track. The route leads to the most beautiful places in the region, sports attractions and the best panoramic views. Anyone who scores all route points takes part in the Snow Space Salzburg Challenge and can win great prizes in the monthly draw.
