Audi A6 – a limousine for every occasion

The Audi A6, produced since 1994, has become so entrenched in the minds of Polish drivers that it has become a synonym for a business limousine. The elegant, extremely calm lines of the body conceal the latest technology and the legendary all-wheel drive – quattro. The latest sedans from Ingolstadt are now available from PANEK Rent a Car.

Not everyone knows that a designer from Poland – Parys Cybulski is responsible for the design of the new Audi A6. The body proportions are the secret to the success of the new limousine from Ingolstadt. The long front and the slightly sloping rear roofline give the impression of being in touch with a sports car, but the silhouette, although drawn very lightly, has not been deprived of seriousness and dignity. The designer also tried to reflect the legacy of the brand in the body line, i.e. the curves of the fenders characteristic of the Audi quattro, while maintaining the elegance of the limousine. We are probably not alone in saying that Parys Cybulski did a great job.

Technology of Tomorrow

The interior is also a new chapter in the company’s history, and although three years have passed since the Polish premiere of the Audi A6 C8 generation, the dashboard designed from scratch is reminiscent of the one known from the Audi A8. Moreover, it becomes characteristic of the entire model line of the German manufacturer. The distinguishing elements are two centrally placed screens that act as the command center. The central console is completely devoid of physical buttons, but that does not mean that we will not feel “connected” with the car. The so-called haptic buttons are used in the panel. This means that to activate the function, you need to press the glass surface, and you will feel a short vibration under your finger, confirming our choice. Traditionally for the A6 model, the seats are fabulously comfortable and provide exceptional comfort while traveling. The rear view camera, the resolution of which makes you dizzy, also caught your attention.

Endless power

The models of the Audi A6 40 TDI, available from PANEK Rent a Car, are equipped with turbocharged, four-cylinder diesel engines with a capacity of 2 liters and a capacity of 204 HP. The maximum power is developed at 3750 rpm, but the torque of 400 Nm is obtained in the range of 1750 – 3000 rpm. Such characteristics of the engine ensure great dynamics even at the lowest revs, and the biggest advantage is that it does it very gently, almost imperceptibly. Only the speedometer readings confirm the rapid acceleration. According to the Audi A6 40 TDI catalog, it reaches the first 100 km / h in 8.1 seconds and is able to accelerate to as much as 246 km / h! Such excellent parameters are provided by the S-Tronic automatic gearbox, which at the same time shifts individual gears velvety and smoothly. He discovers his sportiness only in the Dynamic mode, where the program controlling the gearbox operation simulates the operation of a high-performance sequential gearbox straight from racing cars and shifts individual gears with a clear jerk. However, if we use the Comfort mode, you can get the impression that you are driving a car with a continuously variable CVT transmission.

The suspension is also fantastic in the Audi A6, which not only isolates passengers from the road perfectly in Comfort mode, but also gives a sense of confidence on the road during more dynamic driving. However, you should carefully watch the speedometer readings, because the car is so subtly picking up speed and it is easy to exceed the permitted limits. The sensational quattro all-wheel drive is also on board, so even the longest journey of the Audi A6 will be pleasant and safe.

Advantage thanks to …

The interior of the cabin is perfectly soundproofed, and the idyllic atmosphere is enhanced by the music flowing from the speakers of the audio system. The system sounds clean and dynamic, and the music scene is wide and very extensive. The car is naturally equipped with a number of the latest assistance and safety systems, which we will write about in the coming weeks.
