Soft hybrid technology 

Under the hood of the SEAT LEON, there is a modern 1.5 e-TSI drive system with 150 HP. The soft hybrid system is the first step in reducing CO2 emissions in the range of the Spanish manufacturer, while maintaining all the advantages of a dynamic power unit. The mild hybrid system consists of an electric motor that also acts as a starter and alternator, connected to a small lithium-ion battery. The 48-volt system is designed to provide fuel savings of up to 10%. An additional advantage is a soft and almost imperceptible start with the Start / Stop function on. The engine is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox DSG, and the overall performance is more than decent. The sprint to 100 km / h takes just 8.7 seconds, and the top speed is well over 200 km / h.
