KIA CEED – a tiger with a trunk

In November, we wrote about the KIA CEED model, which successfully started its career in PANEK Rent a Car. This model is very often chosen by the rental customers, if only because it successfully combines an interesting style with a comfortable interior. The KIA CEED Kombi model has now joined the PANEK car fleet, which adds functionality to its design and comfort.

Even more CEED

The example of the CEED model shows that a station wagon does not have to be associated with a boring white vehicle for a trader. The heads of the Korean concern quickly realized that a car that is to be successful on the European market must be designed in a European studio, with particular emphasis on the preferences of the local customer. The plan has been implemented and the current generation is the second one to be created in Europe, and the number of cars on the city streets proves the validity of this concept.

Designers have given the silhouette of the new KIA Ceed a dynamic appearance. The headlights that strongly overlap the fenders and the characteristic grill are supposed to evoke associations with a tiger, a predator associated with southern Asia. This is an understandable reference, because no one would like to drive a car that resembles, for example, the Macaque. The combi line is slim, yet firm and trusting at the same time

For work and vacation

The dominant color in the cabin is black, and the matte structure of the dashboard is decorated with silver moldings. A serious advantage of CEED is the position behind the wheel and the range of adjustment of the seat and steering wheel. Tall users of PANEK Rent a Car will definitely feel good here, but people of medium height will also find optimal settings. We wrote about the stylistic flavors of the dashboard during the test of the KIA CEED Hatchback version, so today we will not discuss it. It’s nice and that’s it. The estate version is 170 mm longer than the 5-door version, but the wheelbase in both versions is the same, so the differences in the size of the interior are visible only in the luggage compartment. The displacement of the Hatchback version is 395 dm3, and in the estate – 625 dm3! This is a value that will allow you to be quite nonchalant when it comes to packing for holidays. The trunk itself is adjustable and the loading threshold is low, so there should also be no problem with loading the luggage. Additionally, by folding the rear seat backrest, you can easily enlarge it to 1694 liters!

The equipment includes: automatic air conditioning, sensors with a rear view camera and heated seats, as well as a lane-keeping system and a frontal collision assistant.

Agile and dynamic

The KIA Ceed is built to tackle long journeys, and that’s what highway driving feels like. Under the hood of KIA Ceed cars available from PANEK Rent a Car, there are gasoline, turbocharged engines with capacities from 1.0 to 1.5 liters, each of which provides decent dynamics. Last month, vehicles with a larger motor, which are best suited for longer journeys, appeared in the offer. The engine with 160 HP and a torque of 253 Nm, which is available in the range of 1500-3000 revolutions per minute. The cars that entered the rental shop first are equipped with a manual 6-speed gearbox. The car is able to accelerate to 100 km / h in 8.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 210 km / h. It should also be added that the passenger compartment is well soundproofed, which contributes to the feeling of comfort.

The suspension, on the other hand, is rather sporty in tune and makes the Ceed stick to the road very well. There is practically no understeer here, and the grip limit has been pushed very far. You can see that the designers did their best because the car drives exactly the way Europeans like it.

The KIA Ceed station wagon certainly does not belong to the group of boring cars for the trader. It is a car designed for a driver who needs a luggage space, but also wants to have a lot of fun. Call the Customer Service Office and book your CEED for your next holiday trip.
